Palworld 1.0 Breeding Calculator — owned-aware

1.0 breeding engine built on CombiRank — the game's hidden breeding-rank number — covering 299 breedable forms and 164 unique combos, validated vs paldb: 2,853/2,853 pairs. Tick the pals you own (saved in your browser only, nothing uploaded) — it tells you what you can breed right now, the best pal for every job, and what you're still missing. Or just browse it as a full 1.0 reference.

My pals

Click a pal to mark it owned (green). Each toggle counts as 1♂/1♀. Your selection saves in this browser only — nothing is uploaded anywhere. Everything below (breeding, best-per-job, element bests) updates live as you tick. Leave it blank to just browse the reference.

Best pal for each work skill — and how to breed it

For every work suitability, the strongest pal you can reach from the pals you own, plus the exact pairs to breed to get there. Updates live when you change your selection above. Levels are the Palworld 1.0 in-game work values (pak-sourced). The ⚑ practical pick assumes you book a pal's work up to Lv 10 (so level ties), then favours small pals (XS–M) that won't get stuck pathing around the base — then stack Artisan / Work Slave passives (per-pal, via breeding) for the real speed.

Best mount per type — and how to breed it

The fastest rideable pal you can reach in each category, ranked by in-game ride/swim speed (pak-sourced). Same owned-aware breeding as the work skills.

What can I breed right now?

Every child reachable from your owned pals, gender-checked (a pair only counts if you have opposite genders across it). NEW = species you don't own yet.

What breeds into… (gap-aware reverse lookup)

Pick a target. Pairs are grouped: breedable now → own both but genders clash → missing one parent (with best catches to unlock) → the rest.

Path solver — how do I get to…

Name a target: can you breed it from what you own — directly or through a multi-generation tree? If not, it finds the fewest catches that make it possible. Children inherit a rank between their parents' ranks, so only unique combos jump the ladder — the solver knows both. Refresh your owned list first.

Breed two pals

+

Your top fighters

When save-upload lands (v2) this ranks your actual pals by combat power — species attack × the best move it can use at its level (real datamined move kits) × your rolled passives (they stack multiplicatively, per 1.0 testing) × level. For now, use Best fighter per element and the counters below, which read the pals you ticked in My Pals. Hover a pal for its picture.

Worth leveling up — your best fighting potential

Not who's strongest now — who's worth the investment. Ranked by combat ceiling (species attack × the best move it learns by max level × your rolled passives), so an under-levelled pal with a great kit rises to the top. ⬆ = big upside (still low level); ✓ = already there. Leveling ceiling only — Mutation passives, Awakening (Radiant Gems) & condensing (+20% stats) push it higher; see the 1.0 mechanics card below.

Best fighter per element

Combat is a 9-element rock-paper-scissors, so cover the gaps. Computed attack score (pak) with the community tier alongside. ● = you can reach it now.

Recommended battle team

A 5-pal party covering the meta roles — the ideal, and the best you can field from your pals right now.

Best combat passives — and when they fire

Passives define a pal. These are the ones to breed onto your fighters; they multiply (1.0 testing puts the top stack near +74% attack).

Catching & exploring

Boss / element counters

9-element rock-paper-scissors (2× damage on a weakness per most 1.0 sources; older guides say 1.5× — the exact figure isn't in the game's data tables). Enemy element → what to hit it with → your best owned pal of that element. Works for any boss/raid/wild pal once you know its element (e.g. Eye of Cthulhu = Dark → bring Dragon).

Rank-up & 1.0 mechanics — the ceiling beyond leveling

πŸ”Ί Condensing (Pal Essence Condenser) — feed same-species copies to rank up. 1.0 cost: 4 / 8 / 12 / 24 = 48 total to 4★ (halved from 116 pre-1.0). Each rank: +5% HP/Atk/Def (+20% at 4★) and +1 Partner Skill level; at 4★ also +1 to every Work Suitability. This is how you max the catch pals — Yakumo at 4★ = Partner Skill Lv5 = 30% passive-transfer.
🧬 Mutation (breeding) — every egg has a small chance to hatch a Mutated/Alpha pal: bigger, higher stats, partially pre-condensed, with a unique mutation-only passive. Steer odds with the new cakes. So a pal's true ceiling is above what “Worth leveling up” shows.
✨ Awakening (Radiant Gems) — spend Radiant Gems from the World Tree to push a pal beyond its natural level-80 limit — another ceiling the leveling score can't capture.
πŸ”€ Active-skill inheritance (changed in 1.0) — bred offspring inherit moves randomly from the 3 active-skill slots equipped on each parent, so set the parents' moves deliberately when breeding for a kit.
🎯 Capture bonus — catch 5 of a species (was 12 pre-1.0) for the max capture-power/XP bonus.
